Spring 2013 Semester

Positive Parenting by Carleen Tanner (Spring Semester) will be starting on THURSDAY  January 10, 2013.  This class ends March 14, 2013.   It will be from 9:30-11:30am at the Nampa Institute building (6115 Birch Lane; Nampa, ID).

Babysitting is available.  Tracy charges $3 per day per child.  Make sure that you plan to use the nursery or find someone else to take your children for those 2 hours.  We love your children but there are a lot of people who attend this class and when there are fussy babies or kids in the classroom it makes it too difficult for others to hear.

This is the only Positive Parenting class that will be offered in the fall.

The cost for the class is $15.00/for 10 weeks OR if you want to attend individual classes $2.50/each class.  Checks are payable to BYU-Provo.  No online registration available this semester.  Register the first day of class and pay with a check or cash.  There will be a syllabus available for $10. It is optional, but well worth the money.  Checks are payable to Carleen Tanner.

Please feel free to pass this information on to friends, family, & ward members.  You are welcome to give them this blog address too.  http://carleentannersparentingclass.blogspot.com

I am so looking forward to this class starting again. After a crazy face-paced summer I am ready to bring some structure back to my family.

I am SO excited for class to start up again!! How I have MISSED the spiritual uplift and encouragement this class provides ~ It's SO refreshing to my spirit!

This definitely has been quite the summer ~ I think we were only home for about 1-1/2 weeks altogether! It's so nice to be home and have SOME kind of schedule again (ANY kind of schedule for that matter)! Can't wait to see y'all this Thursday! =)

P.S. I'm glad they're finally putting in a traffic light at that intersection between the church and the Idaho Center... =)

Kassie---You can purchase a syllabus. Click on the CD's for Sale (upper left side under "pages") and at the bottom of that page you will find the information for the Syllabus with shipping and Sister Tanner's mailing address. Send her a check including shipping with a note that tells her what you would like to purchase and she will get one sent to you. on Fall 2012 Semester

Does sister tanner have an email that is open to the public? I live all the way in Ohio and have discovered this blog and had a few questions for her. Thanks!

Rebekah,

I'm glad that you found this blog. There is a lot of good information here. I will ask Sister Tanner about giving out her email tomorrow when I get to class and let you know.

Andrea,

Just checking back with you to see if you had a chance to ask Sister Tanner about giving out her email address? If she is okay with that, do you mind sending me her email address to bekahanderson@gmail.com? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for such a wonderful blog!

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I had it on my list of things to do and somewhere along the way it got lost. I am so sorry.

I did talk to Sister Tanner. She suggested that instead of giving out her email address it might be more beneficial to other parents who might have the same or similar questions to have anyone that asked post their question on the blog. You can make it as general as you need to or more specific and not include your name. It just depends on how much information you want to share. We added a new “page” on the left hand side that is “Questions & Answers”. She told me that she would try to answer those questions that she receives on Sunday afternoon. The link is also here. http://carleentannersparentingclass.blogspot.com/p/questions-answers.html If you are willing to share your question she would like you to either post it there or to send it to me and I’ll forward it to her.

Thank you!
